• Have a thorough understanding of the rules of the society and other committee members duties
• Manage and coordinate the day to day running of the society, ensuring the committee carry out their duties
• Manage all society meetings including committee meetings and AGM
• Manage and investigate disputes and complaints
• Be the spokesperson for the committee
• Be a point of contact for Health & Safety issues

Vice Chairman

Mary Phillips

• Deputises and supports the Chairman
• Involved in all things to do with day to day running of the Society

Treasurer

Joanna Dennis

• In charge of all the society accounts and budgets
• Collect/chase membership fees and show fees

Secretary

Debbie Smith

• Attending Committee meetings
• Minute taking and distribution
• Dealing with all contracts (Rights Holders / Orchard Theatre / Scenery etc)
• Dealing with all licences
• Booking all venues
• Responding to correspondence
• Central point for all communications

Assistant Secretary

Kate Drakard

• Attending Committee meetings
• Assist and deputise for Secretary
• Membership liaison

Marketing

Katie George

• Liaise with the Orchard Theatre for show promotions and to find out ticket sales on a regular basis
• Organise promotional events, such as poster put-ups and singing events, for the forthcoming shows
• Contact the newspapers and other publications to report on our shows
• Obtain support from the society membership and local community to sell tickets for the shows
• Constantly research and invent new ways to promote the shows

Publishing

Louise Hawkins

• Provide regular newsletter information for DAODS Patron and DAODS members
• Co-ordinate and manage the design and production of DAODS biannual show posters
• Co-ordinate and manage the design and production of DAODS biannual show programmes

Hall Bookings

Gerry Wilson

• Hall Booking - liaising with anyone who wishes to hire the hall and keeping hall diary updated.
• Attending committee meetings
• Anything else required to promote the society

Social and Fund Raising

Sam Mason

• Fundraising/Social - responsible for organising social events i.e. annual dinner dance, discos, band nights and anything to help raise funds for the scoiety
• Providing support and point of contact for any other member organising an event

Youth Group

Gerry Wilson

• Attending committee meetings
• Safeguard Children lead
• Liaison between the Youth Group and the adult society
• Anything else required to promote the society

Patrons

TBA

• First point of contact for the Patron membership of the society
• Deal with the membership of the current Patrons and try to promote new Patron members for DAODS
