The NODA London District Winners list has been published and DAODS has had another fantastic year. Regional winners were awarded in the following categories;

Youngsters Award for Best Youth Production - Hood and Babes in the Wood
The Shelley Lemesh Award for Unsung Hero - David Constable

Ohmigod you guys DAODS is totally freaking out at the news that it has been granted the rights to perform Legally Blonde the musical at the Orchard Theatre in spring 2024!

Mad props to the committee for working away behind the scenes to get everything sorted. Rehearsals to get the cast whipped into shape will begin in the autumn after Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

DAODS celebrates another fantastic year at Dinner Dance 2023

The great and the good of Dartford were out in force this month to celebrate DAODS' first full year of productions since the coronavirus pandemic at the annual Dinner Dance.

In the main event of the night, last year’s Most Dedicated Member, Julia Bull, presented the most recent Freddie awards – this time covering a huge amount of time leading all the way back to Shrek in October 2021. This year's winners were:

Best actress - Lily Turner
Best Actor - Alex Freeman
Most promising newcomer - Daniel Cross
Special Award - Team Shrek
Most Dedicated Member - Meghan Walsh

Congratulations to all the winners and everyone involved in getting the society back on stage this year.

Production team announcement - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

DAODS is pleased to be able to name the production team for October's production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang the musical.

Amy Farlie will be taking the helm as director, Ellie Beaumont returns as choreographer and the society is pleased to welcome back Steve Trill as Musical Director.

The Society is delighted to have such an experienced team on board for this highly anticipated production.
