DAODS Dinner Dance 2019

<p style="" class="font_8"><span style="">At the beginning of March DAODS celebrated the last year in style with the biggest social event of the year; the annual dinner dance and Freddies awards.</span></p>

<p style="" class="font_8"><span style="">As DAODS’ own version of the Oscars, the Freddies are given out every year at the Dinner Dance by the previous years winner of the Outstanding Contribution to the Society award. In 2018 this was David Constable and he was assisted on stage by former Chairman Fred Hall. Fred began the tradition of giving out the awards each year in order to celebrate not only some of the fantastic performances given throughout year but also to highlight the excellent work done by members of the society off stage.</span></p>

<p style="" class="font_8"><span style="">Special Award – Amy Farlie</span></p>

<p style="" class="font_8"><span style="">Outstanding Contribution to the Society – Sam Eades</span></p>

<p style="" class="font_8"><span style="">The evening began with a three course meal, followed by the awards and then entertainment from local band Triggers broom and DJ Jim.</span></p>
